Norman Rockwell was a U.S. popular painter and illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post (1916-63). His acutely observed paintings of the U.S. scene in a bold semi-photographic style, include Norman Rockwell Visits a Country Editor (1946) and After the Prom (1957).
