Armed with her fine arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, Jane Bohan set up her design studio in New York City's artistically-inclined neighborhood of Soho in 1983. Since then, the career of this energetic talent has blossomed. Recognized by leading fashion magazines and prestigious stores, Jane Bohan has also won the admiration of her peers within her trade as a four-time winner of the American Gem Trade Association's Spectrum Award.

Jane Bohan is internationally known for her use of endlessly varied textures. She may use an alligator skin texture in one collection and, in the next, contrast the chill of satin-finished sterling silver with the warmth of highly polished 18k gold. She is fond of showcasing the semi-precious stones she selects, such as pink or watermelon tourmalines, lime green peridots and icy blue topazes, in eye-catching rings. And her way with pearls defies description - choosing and combining naturally colored freshwater pearls in soft tones from the palest pinks to rich mauves.

Jane Bohan uses precious and semi-precious stones, pearls and precious metals the way a fine artist uses a palette of paints. As a counterpoint to fashion's minimalist grays, she created "In The Pink" which uses pearls, sparkling pink tourmalines and 18k gold to their best advantage. In her "Alligator" collection, she punctuates burnished sterling silver chains with freshwater pearls and iolite to create a multi-dimensional look that is ageless, lightweight and versatile. And her "Show Stoppers" win ovations upon every entrance. These striking rings feature bezel-set, faceted and cushion-cut multi-carat stones such as Madeira citrines, cranberry rhodolites, amethysts, aquamarines and iolites to capture admiration.
