Diane Dunville

"Working with polymer clay has afforded me the opportunity to combine almost all of the creative disciplines I love into a new and exciting artistic expression."

Diane began her professional life as an artist in the field of illustration. Though she dabbled in areas of three-dimensional art over the years, it wasn't until she discovered polymer clay that she truly crossed over into the realm of designing and creating in 3-D.

After shaping the form, Dunville then begins to apply extremely thin veneers of tinted translucency clay, taking great care to allow the shapes of the imagery to follow the line and style of the vessel. After the color is applied, the piece is painstakingly carved, and is then almost complete all but for the addition of the finishing touches: bases, rims, and lighting hardware.
