Dora De Larios

"The circle is the basic form representing unity and totality. The colors selected as well as Dora De Larios sculpture the decorative surfaces evoke a quietude of spiritual expression reminiscent of mantras."

For thirty years, Dora De Larios has relentlessly explored and developed her techniques and aesthetics, resulting in an impressive list of accomplishments: 164-foot architectural murals, industrial objects, figurative sculptures and dinnerware for the White House. As her highest award, the city of Los Angeles paid tribute to her work by sending one of her sculptural walls across the Pacific as a gift to the city of Nagoya, Japan.

Dora is an alumni of USC. They have an informative web page about her, www.usc.edu/dept/pubrel/trojan_family/winter00/alumninews/AP_DeLarios.html.
