Ken Sedberry

"One of the most critical choices in my life was to leave Washington, D.C., and move to the North Carolina mountains. There's a certain rightness there. Larger rhythms. The trees and mountains shrink you right down."Ken Sedberry pottery

Ken Sedberry's basins are hand-built of terra cotta clay and fired twiceso the sinks will be sturdy and durable. His palette ranges from warm desert sand and ocher to cool cloud, from forest green and teal to hot, tropical crimson and citrus.

He's spent quite a bit of time in Central America, absorbing the colors and imagery of the rainforest, the tropical flowers and coral reefs of the Carribean. The resulting colors, fauna and flora in his work are anything but subdued and tend to bring smiles to people's lives.

He has a nice website, www.sedberrypottery.com.
