With patterns and detail, Lopez attempts to capture her audience in a state of unself-consciousness, a state of pleasant contemplation. The aim is for the viewer to be engaged enough to continue the search. The longer one remains in this search, the more likely one is to experience the same unself-consciousness the artist experiences while painting.
