Looking through glass arcades and museum interiors, Greg Chadwick witnesses the images of a city caught between modernity and memory. When he is lucky, he catches a moment when the essence of fragile beauty interrupts the everyday flow of time. His paintings seek to capture and display these miraculous moments. Translucent veils of color are layered over a rich underpaint so that light penetrates the surface and lets the image glow. |
