"In the past few years, I've become interested in overlapping structures in my paintings; both geometric and organic configurations are explored."
Influenced by cosmological diagrams and cultural traditions, Patter Hellstrom uses acrylic paint and watercolor to build abstract geometric constructions on canvas. Composed primarily of circular forms, she accentuates space by paint density, surface handling and the use of color.
