From a series of impulses driven by rhythms, love, shapes and forms, Theresa Cox builds an idea until it becomes a distinct work of art. Her paintings in oil, acrylic paint and pastel reveal a spirit of play driven by her love of color and shape. The paintings are remarkably vibrant with brilliant colors, formal juxtapositions and outrageous energy. Filling each surface with movement and paint, Cox has created a body of work that is explorative and innovative, universal and alive. Teresa is on the faculty at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. |
