Less focused on documenting of the land than on tracing how mankind's presence has superimposed itself on the earth's surface, Trena McNabb uses imagery gathered during air flights to call attention to the effects of the human population on its landscape. Her acrylic paint paintings are literally like day and night - revealing the patterns and blocks of color seen from above during the day while delighting in the contrasts evident when the twinkling lights of cities juxtapose with the inky blackness of night.
