| "I want my work to reflect experiences and visions from
the 'real' world, and I want people to appreciate how extraordinary that world is without
technical manipulation." Robert Glenn Ketchum's landscape photographs need no enhancement, no touching up. The dazzling light and colors of his natural vistas are already art. Ketchum's job is to faithfully reproduce them. He shoots photographic transparency film and prints it directly onto Cibachrome / Ilfochrome paper. He adopted this method in the early '70s and was one of the first American photographers to do so. Since then, he has developed a unique look, one that distinguishes his images from anything else on the market. Images of natural splendor from all over the world — particularly Alaska and the Canadian Northwest. |
