Dominique-Marie Pibouleau Founded MHR Watches
Dominique-Marie Pibouleau founded MHR in 1987, believing in a watch design that retains the classic elements of precision and dependability yet reflects a spirit of innovation, openness and independence. Simplicity and sobriety tinged with a touch of extravagance is how she describes the MHR collections. In the last ten years she has won recognition and success for her company, and continues to succeed by keeping the basic shape of the MHR watch unaltered. From exquisite dress watches to heavy-duty diving chronometers, MHR meets market standards and market needs.
Craftsmanship of MHR Watches
The MHR watch comes with Swiss automatic self-winding movements or Swiss quartz movements. It is protected with mineral glass with a screw down crown, and is water resistant to 30 meters. The watch face can measure anywhere from 27mm to 37mm. The bracelets are stainless steel and the straps are leather, denim or linen and use either deployment buckles or folding clasps. The MHR line of diving watches are water-resistant to 300 meters and have a one-way rotating bezel to check decompression time, and rubber straps or steel bracelets.
Distinctive Styling of MHR Watches
MHR is about options. Evocative names like Red Devil, Bleu Leman, Black Storm, Papier Mais, Sparviero Rose and Green Pepper often designate the colors and various fine finishes of the dial faces and their often bicolor coordinating accents. MHR has a watch for every taste. Its Arabic numerals, markers and geometric hands are often luminescent. A magnified window, generally at dial 3, displays the date. The stainless steel cases and bracelets often have 18 karat gold accents. The straps in various textures and colors can be fashioned in anything from either rugged genuine leather to strong linen or tough denim, with durable deployment buckles. MHR, led confidently into the millennium by Pibouleau, is about style, imagination, durability and performance.
